You can also take the #5 bus to the trailhead, or try to find free parking in the residential neighborhood nearby.

The hike is short, spanning about 1.6 miles round trip, making it suitable whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker. The views are the best part. No, seriously. Not only is the hike surrounded by the Ko’olau Mountains but at the end of the trail awaits Manoa Falls, a beautiful 100-foot waterfall!!

As expected, the hike can get a bit muddy, so dress accordingly! I highly recommend packing bug spray for this hike. There is a small pool at the base of the waterfall, but swimming is prohibited, unfortunately!

Lulumahu Falls Trail

Distance from Waikiki: 8 miles (~20-30 minutes)

Important Note: The portion of Maunawili Falls Trail over private land is temporarily closed due to restoration work.
